The Kaplan String Quartet was formed in 1992 in Los Angeles, California. The rich performance background of the members of the quartet combined with a varied repertoire provides a diverse choice of musical options for any social occasion.

The Kaplan String Quartet has appeared at many of the most popular wedding, reception and party venues in the greater Los Angeles area.  Performances at the Catalina Room, the Queen Mary, the Long Beach Art Museum, the Beverly Hills Hotel and many of the Southland's noted churches and synagogues provide the quartet with the experience to adjust to a wide variety of requests and performance circumstances.  Special accommodations in advance of an engagement can be made for musical arrangements of non-traditional quartet versions of classical and popular standards.  Most recently the quartet played as a trio on the Bachelor Show which appeared on national television. With experience in consulting with clients on special requests and issues specific to each performance venue, the members of the Kaplan String Quartet have become flexible in making last minute changes, working with event/wedding coordinators and performing with other musicians involved in an event (vocalists, pianists, other instrumentalists).
